Melanie’s natural flair for design and attention to detail has always been prominent. Following high school, she was accepted into an Associate Diploma of Graphic Design, followed by one of the first Multimedia courses to be offered at Box Hill TAFE. After three years of study, she was offered a position at Box Hill TAFE teaching mature age students the basics of Graphic Design. It was during this time when Melanie gained the confidence and knowledge to step out into the real world.
Her first role was with Whirlwind Design & Print, in 1999. Here, she developed her skills and gained extensive industry experience, as well as engaging her own clients. She also enjoyed building a passion for working on entire projects from start to finish.
In 2002 Melanie decided to work for herself. She now specialises in providing a unique design service for small businesses that can’t afford large agency prices. Melanie understands what it takes to provide creative and practical solutions, and is a visual problem solver with a knack for translating design briefs into successful visual concepts.
She’s down-to-earth, and her strong communication skills make working with her fun and easy. Melanie believes that good business is supported by other successful businesses, which is why she attends weekly networking meetings and collaborates on many projects with Bright Owl Marketing.
Melanie enjoys a vibrant social life including dance, yoga, music festivals and exhibitions. She also enjoys developing her industry skills and keeping current with evolving technology.
